The Lokmangal Group is a Solapur, Maharashtra based group with a consolidated turnover of Rs. 500 crore.
It is headed by Mr. Subhash "Bapu" Deshmukh. You may care to read more of Bapu at Wikipedia It is Bapu's dream to create 1000 entrepreneurs from Solapur District before his time on this Earth and Maharashtra has 35 districts!! One can imagine the number of entrepreneurs that can be created.

TATA Consultancy Services has created a software to promote literacy among the adults in the urban and rural society. TAA has the initiative to reach it to the people in rural communities.
